About this app

MobiTill Passenger is a mobile-based application for the public transport sector that allows passengers to:

1. view and access in real time the availability of vehicles on the road on which they intend to travel
2. view and book the available seats on the bus
3. pay for their trips
4. view and post real-time traffic updates

The product is being developed by Mobitill Group, a Kenyan Fintech company specializing in the development of public transport automation as well as payment solutions.

MobiTill Passenger's major features can be categorized as follows:

1. Movement
Given the starting point and the destination, the app can show you possible routes to use, and the vehicles available on the routes. All the along a certain route will also be shown, together with a map for visual aid.
2. Distance
Both short-distance (within a city) and long-distance (across cities) trips can be made.
3. Fares
You will be able to see the fare for the available vehicles on the route of your choice, i.e. after you have selected your starting point and your destination
4. Payments
The payments options include Mobile Money (MPESA, Airtel and T-Cash) and Card (VISA, Mastercard) for the application
5. Traffic updates
You will be able to post updates on the traffic situation as you have seen it, and also see the updates from other users of the app
6. Service ratings
You can view ratings from other users, and also give your rating as per your experience using the app, and on the road.

MobiTill at the moment is piloted on the following routes:

1. The pilot will be done with our current customer City Shuttle on the routes from Bus Station to Kamulu using Kangundo Road for 86 buses
