1. Basic compilation policy


- This dictionary was compiled to help understand the doctrines, ideas, history, and figures of Won Buddhism, as well as the three major business organizations of enlightenment, education, and charity.

- The narrative content summarizes the contents to date based on common opinion, but also addresses problems in the theory.

- Sentences are written at a level that anyone can easily read, and related photos are included to aid understanding.

- This dictionary contains information from the founding of Won Buddhism until 2013.

- The contents of new research results and changes over time made after the publication of this dictionary are managed and operated so that they can be viewed on the Internet.


2. Item selection

- The items to be included in this dictionary were selected by paying attention to the following.

- Terms used in the seven major teachings of Won Buddhism were selected.

- The characters include those who appear in the seven major teachings, but those who are alive as of the end of June 2013 have been reserved.

- Neighboring religions selected basic terms related to Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity, Korean new religions, and other major religions of the world.

- Important terms and figures were selected from related humanities such as philosophy, religious studies, and sociology.
