FlightBalance is an aircraft weight and balance calculator for general aviation pilots. It offers a clean, intuitive interface which lets you perform critical pre-flight assessments of your aircraft's load in a matter of seconds.

The app allows you to define individual weight and balance aircraft profiles using data straight from the POH. After spending a few minutes entering the load stations and envelope limits for your plane, you're presented with a set of sliders corresponding to each variable station, along with an uncluttered chart which updates in real-time. Profiles can be modified at any time, and it's also possible to use existing definitions as templates for new aircraft.

When the app opens, you're presented with a list of aircraft you have entered to date. Tapping an entry will take you to the weight and balance calculator page, where variable station loads can be fine-tuned using the individual sliders and buttons. Envelope boundaries are shown on the chart along with a solid red circle (result for all entered loads) and a red circle outline (result when all fuel stations are empty). You can also tap the 'text data' option to see a numerical summary of your entries.

The user interface is consistent across the app, and long-pressing a record in any list will open a context menu from which you can edit, delete and re-order items. All weight and balance aircraft profiles are persisted when the app closes, along with your last entered load values, allowing you to pick up where you left off at a moment's notice.

The best W&B app available! This is what Garmin Pilot should have. A few recommendations for future additions to make it even better: Allow manual entry of weights using numbers. Additional +/- buttons for larger steps. Import/Export of aircraft profiles (and perhaps a place for users to share them). Display of fuel in both weight and gallons (would also need a setting for U.S. gallons, imperial gallons, or metric). A visual indicator for the fuel quantity with reference to the tabs.

Trying to setup Empty Weight and Moment. I can't figure out to get that part setup up. Thanks I got it figured out. Inoticed another person commented on having fuel in Liters or US. Gallons. If there any chance that will be done soon. I think your concern about having two much stuff on one page is correct but when making a new plane on your app you could have the person choose there: Type of Fuel (Jet A Jet A1 Jet B 100LL etc) And choose the max quantity.

Wonderful app that is simple and intuitive. It's now my go-to for w&b. One gripe however, I wish fuel could be inputted in terms of gallons instead of pounds. Other than that I love it.
