Revised after trying everything recommended and researching the problem with other users. Because you have to pair it through the app, and not on your phone, it appears the latest android update won't allow automatic connection as it's not in the list of paired devices. You need to make pairing possible through the phone rather than the app.

Really wanted to like this, but it's just awful. hit or miss the app detects I'm driving. which is frustrating half way through a drive. Speed and Maps don't work properly. The device is cute and I wanted it to work so badly but nah it's useless. I bought a subscription free unit from Amazon to find that doesn't even matter.

absolutely love this. The Saphe Link GPS display and App integrate perfectly with Android Auto and give clear notifications of Apporovhinf sleek cameras. the GPS speed displayed on the the Saphe Link on my Dash also is a great visual reminder of current speed and the battery life is astounding. the only i experienced was initially pairing my mobile to my in car entertainment system, for some unknown reason it wouldn't allow it at all until I removed the Link from my car, worked a treat since
