About this app

Keep a database of all your firearms, including multiple pictures, and your ammunition in one place. Track when your guns were last fired and cleaned. Know exactly how much ammo is in your inventory and when your ammo supply is getting low and needs replenishing by setting a minimum amount to be kept on hand. Receive notifications when firearms are due for cleaning/maintenance, and when ammunition inventory is getting low.

Maintain a separate wish list of guns you would like to own in the future. You can, optionally, display the wish list intermixed with the list of your owned firearms. When you purchase a gun that is already in your wish list, you can easily move it to the list of owned firearms.

Log your visits to the shooting range. Plan a trip to the range by adding the guns and the type and amount of ammo to your virtual range bag. When you return from the range, specify the amount of unused ammo you brought back and, optionally, number of rounds fired from each firearm. The app will automatically reduce your inventory by the amount you fired and record the info to the range log as well as the individual firearm log.

Select from multiple UI themes including a dark theme.

App is good but could be improved. Here is what I would like to see, and then this app would be great. First, have a page or category for accessories like you have for ammo. That way, I can list my extra scopes, holsters, etc. You have an optics feature at the bottom of a page, but would like to traxk my stuff separately. Guns, ammo, accessories. By doing this, we can add our garmin GPS, binoculars, etc. Second I would be great if we were allowed at least 2 or 3 pictures, not just 1. Thanks

The app already allows multiple images. From the detail view, select "View Images" from the menu. (Or, click on the image.) You can then add additional images by selecting the icon in the lower right corner of the screen. Or, take a picture by selecting the icon in the lower left corner. I will consider your suggestions for future enhancements.

Not sure what was fixed last, but the app opens to a blank screen. I have to open/close it several times and jockey around the app, and then maybe I'm lucky enough that all my info I already put in pops up. Disappointing. When it does work, I like it alot. But when I have to dance around hoping it works, not so much.

Selecting "Clear filters" from the menu will cause the data to show. Clearing the cache appears to fix the issue. You can find instructions for clearing the cache at https://secondserve.net/GunSafe/GunSafeFix.html.

I like the app layout and features. but I am unable to adjust the ammo quantities. I click adjust, enter the amount used, then click the '-' symbol and I get a pop up that says "count NOT updated". Is there something I'm missing? I'm using a Samsung S21 Ultra running Android 12 OS if that helps the dev at all. Edit: Randall contacted me and is working on a fix for the bug. Will update again in a few days Final edit: Randall was able to get the bug fixed and the update rolled out within hours.

Is it possible that GunSafe no longer has permission to write files. Android will automatically remove permissions if an app is not used for awhile. Please check the permission and email me directly at randy@secondserve.net.
