Nursing care results is the Dutch translation of Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC). This app is based on the fourth, revised Dutch edition, which is again a translation of the sixth American edition.
The app offers a structured format of nursing diagnoses and care results. The main features of the NOC are:
• completeness: 540 updated care results, 52 of which are completely new and 57 have been revised;
• evidence based;
• clear and clinically meaningful terminology;
• user-friendly structure;
• applicable in various disciplines;
• tested in the field;
• combined with NANDA diagnoses.
Nursing care outcomes contribute to adequate education in clinical decision making. The app provides standardization and definition of the required knowledge for nursing education and nursing practice. It is also an aid to make curricula more in line with practice.
