About this app

With the Bilkollektivet App you can easily get a quick overview of where there are available cars and vehicles, do and manage your reservations.

BILKOLLEKTIVET
We are Norway's largest car sharing organization. As a non-profit member company, we aim to contribute to a greener city with fewer cars and less unnecessary driving.

Started in 1995 and operates as a co-op, with operations in Oslo and Stavanger. Members can also reserve vehicles with our collaborative partners in Trondheim and Bergen.

With the App you will have over 400 cars at your disposal only in Oslo.

Bilkollektivet buys, rents and leases a varying number of vehicles of different sizes to meet the needs of its members. During holidays and busy periods we increase our fleet to meet the increased demand.

Members can book directly in the app, use the cars 24 hours a day, and drive wherever they want throughout Europe.

Car sharing is for everyone! So, you are over 18 and have the patch you can join! As a member you also become a co-owner of the car fleet.

SEARCH FOR AVAILABLE VEHICLES
-See available cars around you or go through them in the map.
-Filter your search by vehicle categories and accessories.
-Results include prices per km, per day and per hour.
-Choose from a big selection of cars for all needs.
-Check the availability of cars and vans for your selected dates.

MANAGE YOUR RESERVATIONS
-See your ongoing reservation when you open the App.
-Recieve notifications before the start time and before the ending of the reservation.
-You can extend your reservation form the App.
-See your past reservations in the App.

FIND YOUR CAR AND DRIVE
-Tolls, fuel and insurance are included in the price.
-Recieve a notification before the ending of the booking.
-See your current reservation when you open the App.
-Check the parking spot to drop down the car easily in the map.

I was stupid enough to pay Bilkollektivet 6 750 NOK to become a member to be able to rent the cars (it was some years ago in 2012), under the condition that the shares would be paid back upon leaving. And of course, when I left, they “changed the rules”, and now “member share can only be paid if the yearly report is approved by the accountant, and if Bilkollektivets equity capital has increased with more than 4%”. That was more than a year ago, never got paid back.

Map doesn't work. No vehicles load and there are no booking options. Bilkollectivet systems don't have the ability to identify problems and customer service has no options to reset or fix them.

Frequently when ordering a car, cars will not be available at that time. If that is the case, trying to get information on when cars are actually available is like squeezing blood from stone. Finding a car is a very cumbersom and rigid process. You always have to fill in loads of specific information. There is no quick and easy options like "show me what cars are available now or soon", or "Cars available for a couple of hours on a given day".

What’s new

Bilkollektivet has changed system so that you as a member will have a better user experience, safety and more useful functions.
The app will now contain all the features that were previously available from the desktop, as well as several new ones. With the new system, it is now possible to reserve all our vehicles via the updated Bilkollektivet app.
