The tool uses Energinet's forecasts for the expected CO2 emissions from electricity production in Denmark to make it easy for you to find out how to plan your electricity consumption so that it puts as little strain on the climate as possible.
On a normal day, the numbers can fluctuate by a factor of four, so just by shifting our own consumption so that we make sure we use electricity when it is greenest, we can make a big difference. We probably can't be so flexible about when we turn on the lights at home, but should we wash clothes, tumble dry, wash dishes, bake a cake, or charge the electric car, or if we have other short-term energy-intensive tasks at home or at work and we have the opportunity to be flexible, we can use the forecasts to assess whether it will make sense to wait a few hours or half a day.
