Westpac CashNav is a free money management app (for smartphone only) that keeps track of your transactions so you can see what you spend to help you get what you really want.

It’s easy to use, simply open the app and log in with your Westpac Online Banking user ID and password. CashNav securely connects with your Westpac transactional and credit card accounts and tracks your day-to-day spending, purchases and bill payments and automatically groups spending into categories.

Push notifications give you automatic updates of your spending.

It also features an easy to read Spending Meter that compares your current spending to your typical monthly spend to keep you informed.

Really easy to use, and pretty good. No ads but you do need to be a westpac customer. It attempts to categorise expenses and its usually like 70% accurate. The other thing is it will sometimes count a pending transaction twice for some reason (it's a very minor bug but it'll probably be fixed in the next update). Overall good app though, like you can set it up so it gives you a notification every time money leaves your account and set targets/budgets etc.

Edit: I've updated my rating, the app is now finally working again. I'm so happy to have the real time notifications for digital receipts back in my life! 29 Aug: Won't even open for me anymore, just hangs on the opening screen. I've uninstalled and installed again, restarted my phone, no change. Such a shame because I've been using this app daily for the last couple of years and now it's absolutely useless to me.

Current version is not good compared to previous version. 1. Spending notifications come through about 3-5 days after the transaction. So it looks like someone is using the account. 2. Interface is hard to use now. Tap a categorie and the information completely changes and it's hard to go back. 3. Modern look interface is ugly compared to previous version. Makes it hard to read at times.
