I've really been enjoying myself with this one. One of the best games I've played in a while, phone or otherwise. I've seen reviews saying the game's not ballanced, and forces certain play styles to win, but I couldn't disagree more. I've beaten the levels with the two available characters several times with a wide range of builds. With the right strategy and maybe a little bit of luck, pretty much every card is viable. Can't wait for the full version to come out. Would gladly pay for this.

The gameplay is great. The visuals are simple and smooth, which is good for the vibe of the game. Like others have said, I can't wait for more content. My main issue is the battery drain. Makes my phone (Galaxy S21 Ultra) very hot. It's not really worth lowering my rating, but I do hope there are power-saving or graphic/animation intensity options in the future.

I'm sorry for this! Working on improving the battery life and resource spend of the game!

Edit: On dev request I tried again. The tutorials are a puzzle. The rest of the game is roguelite. But eh. It didn't feel very balanced. It felt like I needed to focus on acquiring many more weapons than armor or buff items. I keep ending up in the boss room with not enough weapons and not being able to continue fighting. It doesn't feel good. It feels like I'm being forced to build a certain way instead of having freedom. Eh. Not terrible, not for me.

edit: appreciate the second try!
Yes, the number of cards in a room is limited and managing them is a core part of the game! In a boss room you can do a "tactical retreat" to get new cards.
There ARE defense builds, but they need a way to turn defense into offense: shield slam, graceful exit,...
To each their own ofc, if the game's not your jam! :)
