Very responsive, with great functionality. I'm so glad I came to look for a new HN reader. I had one that served me well for many years but had not been updated. This one is great! One small request, I see App Themes are coming but could you add a simple s,m,l font size setting soon? The text is a bit small for me. Let me know where to send a donation!

Glad you like it ☺ a font size option isn't a huge task so I'll see about adding it in for the next release. As for donations, atm I'm fleshing out the core features that will remain free. After that I'll be adding an option to support development for some minor "Pro" features so stay tuned for that. Thanks!

Great UX! It just works, which sadly enough can not be said about most of the other hacker news clients. Many of the other hn clients crash, comments sometimes fail to load, and the ease of switching between comments and the article is usually a couple buttons away. This app is so much more intuitive, and it works the way you expect it to. Even the animations for the article to move to the bottom make it obvious that you can scroll up for comments. Thank you for this!

Great UX, fast, responsive, much better than some other hacker news apps I have seen. I especially like the placement of the appbar at the bottom of the screen. The only major complaint I have is the lack of comment submission or voting, due to the lack of login, at the moment. I realise this may not be a core aim of this app, but it's what I would expect from any Hacker News client. Also, that it would be nice to be able to swipe up on the appbar to reveal the menu.

Hey, thanks for the review! I'm currently working on adding in full login (voting, commenting, submitting) support but as you can imagine this is quite a big feature so is taking a little while. I hope to have it done and released within the next few weeks though. I love the idea of swiping to reveal the menu too so I'll try get that in soon too!

What's new

This version contains fixes for these bugs/crashes:

- Comments were sometimes blank when the app was resumed from the background
- Articles would reload when resuming from the background
- Crash on Android 5.1 when the share popup window was opened
- Rare crash when resuming from the background

I'm still working on the next major version with full hn account support, although it's taking a tad longer than I'd hoped. Hopefully will have something to release soon!
