About this app

Anchor Alert is an advanced anchor alarm application made in New Zealand by a professional software developer and MCA certified Yachtmaster. It was the first anchor alarm available for Android devices and remains the number one choice of serious boaters. It uses a unique anchor projection algorithm which automatically takes into account the magnetic-declination of your location to more accurately set the anchor watch point. It has a clutter-free interface and runs fully off-line (after initial verification). It has been designed primarily to maximise reliability and battery life while allowing the user the greatest degree of flexibility and customisation possible.

I tried this when at anchor in May/June 2023. Back then it completely failed on its first real test and I gave it a 1* review as being not recommended. Since then the creator has worked to improve the issues I identified. I have tested it again one year later in May/June 2024 and it has worked fine each time. Now recommended at 4*. Not the clearest user interface as otherwise it would be 5*.

This seems really good but I tested last night then rowed away from the vessel in the morning to check the alarm and it didn't go off because the phone was locked. is there a way to get it to activate even if the phone is locked?

Good so far, even though it is relatively easy to use it would be nice to have a youtube tutorial.
