The Alpha Taxis is great! Quick and reliable service, always on time when pre booked and very quick service when calling too. BUT!!! The app sucks! Doesn't accept any card that I tried to add to the alternative payment method , no matter the bank. I tried to connect more than four different debit cards and one credit, but no luck. Shows that all my cards get declined. 😢👎👎👎

There is sometimes no point in having this app. You book the taxi in advance to "jump que's" as advertised and it doesn't always show up when you request it. The amount of times I've been late to things as a result isn't good enough. Also, when you book it for a certain time the taxi driver just see's it for "as soon as possible" and will turn up when they can. For example, I book it for 4pm (when I finish work), the taxi will show up early and then drive off because I'm not ready yet!

They've done quite well updating the app, now they've added a "via" option although it can be a bit of a pain in the arse because every stop along the route the system calls you to tell you your car is outside 🤣 pretty sure I knew that since I just got out of it! 🤣 And no more false starts like "your car is on its way - from Jakarta, or the south coast of Africa!" cracker! 🤣 Apart from that it's quite stable, except for text verification codes, most of them don't arrive at all 🤣
