Publishers make digital review copies and audiobooks available for the NetGalley community to discover, request, read, and review.

NetGalley does not sell any content, including books or audiobooks. Each book on NetGalley is provided to specific members by the publisher directly, at no cost to the NetGalley member. Books on the NetGalley site are used for review and promotional purposes only.

Users of the NetGalley Shelf app will need to register as NetGalley members on NetGalley.com or NetGalley.co.uk, then all your approved NetGalley books and audiobooks will automatically appear in this app. No need to press Download on the NetGalley website!

Reading is easy and convenient using the NetGalley Shelf app. Download approved books for access on the go, or start listening right away with streaming for audiobooks.

Ratings and reviews

To say this is the exclusive way to listen to audiobooks for netgalley it does not work like it should. Have to download and uninstall, redownload, uninstall, redownload, etc. until it will finally work to play an audiobook. It is not compatible to download on a computer/laptop so I can listen from those devices as well. It has skipped ahead through many audiobooks without any prompting. It stops suddenly at times. Source: have been using the app for 6 months and have d/l many audiobooks.

Terrible, shuts down, randomly stops playing audiobooks. If you pause a book it will not continue when you hit play. You have to go back in and reopen the audio. Now it will randomly stop playing entirely and you just have to hope at some point its going to work before the book is published and its gone. Fix the app.

The book portion is ok, but if you have a kindle don't need it. the audio part of it is trash. sometimes my books disappear, then they reappear. sometimes they play, sometimes they don't. today it stops every 3 minutes and I have to go in and restart it. I can't get anything done while listening, and I sure can't listen while driving. I've consulted the help numerous times and it never gets resolved. I sent a video last time and they couldn't open it. I'm contacting publishers to let them know.
