Foldplay is a music player that treats your folders as first-class citizens. Just browse to a folder and select a music file to play – no collection scanning needed.

All the essential features are there:
• Shuffle, repeat and seek
• Album artwork and music info display (entirely optional)
• Headset controls, widgets and notifications
• Integration with equaliser applications

In addition, you can:
• Easily create and manage playlists by tapping and holding songs and folders
• Bookmark your favourite folders and access them easily in the sidebar
• Switch between light, dark and pure black themes, and customise the colours to your liking
• Set a sleep timer

With Foldplay's simple but responsive interface, you'll have a great experience on small phones and big tablets alike.

FINALLY!!! A Dev who Gets It! Tried every Android music player app out there to date, in search of The One that is Simple. CLEAN. As bug free as possible. And prioritizes local file playback of music stored on your phone. Period. This one checks all the boxes and then some. Well done

Finally found a music app that will create playlists based on Actual folder structure. I have my music organized by a genre folder with music folders under each genre. All other players don't recognize folders without a music file inside. This one does! So now I can select the genre folder (which only contains other folders) and it will play ALL music inside all subfolders!!! YES!! THANK YOU!!! I can even select multiple folders and easily create playlists! Keep up the great work!

My Favorite folder based player for Android. Unfortunately it has one of the worst random play order algorithms on the market. If you like to randomize your play order, this app will piss you off. Rather than randomizing the list, next song is random so you'll hear countless repeats before the full list is played. And you can never get to the previous song with the previous track button.
