About this app

ReadFocus+ is a reading ruler and reading mask for dyslexia and ADHD that sits on top of the apps you already read in. Keep your place in an ebook, follow a long article in your browser, or go through a PDF or a webtoon line by line. There is nothing to import: it works over the app you have open.

Free to use with ads. Pro removes the ads and unlocks every color theme and Keep Screen On. Choose monthly, yearly, or a one-time lifetime purchase.

WHAT IT DOES
• Two focus modes: Line Highlight, a reading ruler that lights up the line you are on, and Reading Mask, which dims everything outside your reading zone
• A semi-transparent focus strip floats over any app: ebook readers, browsers, PDF, news, comics and webtoons, study notes, long emails and chats
• Drag the strip to the line you are reading so your eyes stay on it instead of wandering or skipping rows
• Taps pass through the strip to the app underneath
• Strip height from 50 to 300dp to match the font size, and opacity from a soft tint to a deep color
• 10 color themes
• Keep Screen On while reading

FREE AND PRO
Free: both focus modes, 3 color themes (Amber Glow, Ocean Blue, Classic Yellow), and strip height (50–300dp) and opacity adjustment.
Pro: no ads, 7 more color themes, and Keep Screen On.

GETTING STARTED
1. Open ReadFocus+ and allow "Display over other apps" when asked. You only do this once.
2. Choose Line Highlight or Reading Mask and start the focus strip.
3. Go to the app you are reading in and drag the strip to your line.

FAQ
Q. The strip does not appear over other apps.
A. Android needs the "Display over other apps" permission. Turn it on for ReadFocus+ in your phone's Settings → Apps.

Q. Can I still tap and scroll the app underneath?
A. Yes. Taps pass through the strip to the app below. On Android 12 and later, the system caps overlay opacity at about 80% so that touches keep working.

Q. Do I need to import my books or files?
A. No. ReadFocus+ floats over the app you already use, so it works with your ebook reader, browser or PDF viewer.

ReadFocus+ is also available for Windows on the Microsoft Store.
