About this app

Code Four is a secure report-writing and evidence platform built for law enforcement and public-safety agencies. It helps officers turn body-worn camera footage, audio, and field notes into accurate, well-structured incident reports — faster, and with a complete chain of custody.

Accounts are provisioned by an agency administrator; officers cannot self-register. Access requires an active agency agreement.

KEY FEATURES
• Live Assistant — talk to Code Four by voice: dictate a narrative, ask questions, and get a structured draft to review and edit. The session keeps listening when the screen locks or you switch apps, so nothing is cut off.
• Live translation — translate a conversation in the field in real time, and save the conversation as a recording.
• AI report drafting — generate narratives from transcripts and evidence, with mandatory human review.
• Evidence management — attach photos, video, and audio, view transcripts, and keep evidence organized. Uploads keep going in the background until they finish.
• Collaboration & review — co-author, review, sign, and return reports across your team.
• Secure by design — encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication, and comprehensive audit logging aligned with CJIS guidance.

WORKS IN THE BACKGROUND
Code Four uses two foreground services. The officer starts both, and both show a notification while they run:
• Microphone — during a Live Assistant, dictation, or translation session, the microphone stays on when the screen locks or you leave the app. A notification shows for the whole session, with Pause and Stop. Press Stop to end the session.
• Uploads — photos, video, and audio added to a report keep uploading in the background, with a progress notification, and the service ends when the upload is done.

• Pick a template before you start Dictate or Live, and see what it still needs at the top of the session.
• Show Code Four the scene for up to 15 minutes.
• Translate detects the other person's language, now including Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Translate's saved recording now has each translation right after the turn it answers.
