About this game

A descent toward a dying campfire. Every run is a new path down, a new deck, and a new end.

HOW IT WORKS

You navigate across the floor map and choose your own path: regular combat, elite encounter, campfire, shop, treasure chest, or the floor boss. Greed is dangerous, but taking too many safe detours leaves you too weak for the boss.

Battles take place on a hexagonal grid and are strictly turn-based. Each turn, you draw runes and spend energy: strike foes, evade incoming attacks, and fortify your armor. Enemies telegraph their upcoming actions — a heavy blow, a sudden dash, or summoning reinforcements — allowing you to calculate your moves with precision rather than pure guesswork.

Positioning matters just as much as your cards. Take cover behind boulders, step away from burning lava, and sidestep a stone golem's heavy swing rather than trying to soak the damage.

THE FIRE DIES DOWN

Starting from round twelve of any combat encounter, you take escalating direct damage that bypasses all armor. Stalling is not an option: finish the fight quickly and decisively.

DEFEAT DOES NOT RESET PROGRESS

Embers gathered during a run are brought back to the forge. Permanent upgrades unlocked at the forge persist across all future runs — every single attempt drives your progress forward, even a failed one.
