LogDroid is an on-device logcat viewer and crash reader for Android developers and testers. Watch an app's logs in real time, colour-coded by level, and catch crashes, ANRs and stack traces without a computer or Android Studio.
Try it right away: LogDroid's own logs need no setup, and debuggable apps work on the free version.
Crashes
• Detects crashes and saves each one with its full stack trace
• Detects ANRs (app not responding) and when the system kills the app in the background
• Crash alerts as notifications, even when LogDroid is in the background; tap to open the crash
• Crashes grouped by exception type, with counts for today and the last 7 days
• A "New" badge marks crashes that first appeared in the app's current version
• Tap any stack-trace line to copy it or search the web; the monitored app's own lines are highlighted
• Share a crash report as plain text or Markdown for GitHub or Jira, with device model, Android version, app version, the stack trace and the log lines before the crash
Reading logs
• Real-time streaming, colour-coded by level: Verbose, Debug, Info, Warn, Error and Fatal
• Search, a minimum level filter, and filters by PID, TID, time window (last 1, 5, 15 or 60 minutes) and hidden tags
• Save filter presets
• Pause the live view, bookmark lines, and wrap long lines
• Pretty-printed JSON in log details
• Warnings when the same error repeats many times a minute, and for StrictMode violations
• Saved sessions you can search later
• Picture-in-picture mode, a Quick Settings tile to start or stop monitoring, and a home-screen widget showing today's crashes
• Light and dark theme, adjustable font size
Setup
Reading another app's logs needs the READ_LOGS permission, granted once. The guided setup screen walks you through it: grant it without a computer using Shizuku, or with one ADB command (a copy button is included). On Android 13 and later, Android also asks you to allow access to device logs each session.
Pro
Pro unlocks:
• Monitoring release (non-debuggable) apps
• Regex search
• Export sessions as TXT or HTML
• A larger log buffer
• No ads
The free version works with debuggable apps and LogDroid's own logs, and shows ads.
Privacy: your logs stay on your device. LogDroid doesn't upload logs.
