About this app

PaceEngine is a pace calculator and race planner for runners: work out the pace you need, then keep track of your race goals and results.

Set any two of pace, distance and finish time and PaceEngine works out the third. Scroll the wheels or tap a race to change a value and everything updates instantly.

PACE CALCULATOR
• Pace, distance and target time, always in sync
• One tap for 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon, using the official distances (21.0975 km and 42.195 km)
• Kilometres or miles, switch at any time
• Split times for every kilometre or mile, with lap and total time

RACE PREDICTOR
See what a result means over other distances. Enter a 10K time and PaceEngine predicts your 5K, half marathon and marathon times using the Riegel formula, a well-known method for estimating race times. Tap a prediction to load it straight into the calculator.

RACE LOGBOOK
• Save a target from the calculator with one tap, then give it a name and a date
• Upcoming races show a countdown
• Add your finish time after the race to see your actual pace and how it compared with your goal
• Insights show how many races you've completed and how many goals you've beaten
• A progress chart shows how your 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon times improve
• Open any race back in the calculator to plan your next attempt

SIMPLE AND PRIVATE
• No account and no ads
• Works completely offline
• Your races stay on your phone

Whether you're planning your first 5K or chasing a marathon PB, PaceEngine helps you work out the pace you need and keeps a record of how it went.
