He's one of Nigeria's most prominent and influential musicians, known for his contributions to Afrobeat, Afropop, and the global music scene.
Davido's musical journey began in Nigeria, where he moved to after his birth in the United States. He attended the British International School in Lagos and later went to study Business Administration at Oakwood University in Alabama, United States. However, his passion for music led him to drop out of college to pursue a career in the music industry.
In 2011, Davido burst into the Nigerian music scene with his hit single "Dami Duro," which gained massive airplay and became an anthem across Africa. The success of this single propelled him to fame and marked the beginning of his rise to stardom.
