Ratings and reviews

This app has a great selection of Christian books that are often not easy to get a hold of in hardcopy, and are expensive if you do find them. Kobo has great books at good prices. Some of the functions on the app respond slowly, and the bookmark function does not work accurately (I will save the bookmark on page 20 of a book, and when I open the app again, the bookmark will appear on page 19, the previous page). Overall though, I enjoy using this app.

I did my first review in 2017, then again in 2022, now it's 2026. I've downloaded a few other book apps since then. I've also deleted them all. Why waste space? Kobo was, is, and always will be my go-to app. I just wish I could permanently download the books for safe keeping. Otherwise, you have introduced me to some nice, brilliant, and unforgettable, and a few forgetable collections over the years. Of which some I plan to add to until I get the whole set, some I've completed. Thanks, Kobo.

This app and service is my default for reading. I have used it continuously for more than ten years. Unfortunately a recent feature/bug requires me to have a constant or at least regular internet connection. For the last few days I have been getting a message that states "Kobo can't start because you are not connected to the internet..."This makes the app unusable when e.g. on a flight or remote area without phone connection. If this is not resolved I will have to look for an alternative.
