Because the Upwork app didn't notify me, I have lost two prospects for not responding on time. Getting clients to respond to your proposal has been hard and on two separate occasions where they did, Upwork sent no notification. The first time I knew later through my email the second time, nothing. I checked Upwork app just to see I had been sent a message two days ago. This is not fair!!!!!! The app always has one issue with Android I have checked all the notification settings. It is on!

You've got to pay for points called connects to send your application to a client or to get ahead of others. And they aren't cheap. I haven't even had my profile viewed, let alone any inquiries on my services. There is 0 activity on my account simply because I ran out of my connect points. Close to 2 dollars for just 10 connects is excessive. I'm in a tight spot in life right now that I wouldn't mind working a whole day for 5 dollars as an Illustrator, just use fiverr, they're more user friendly

Not the best way to get work unless you have money to buy a paid membership or boosts to bid for better ranking. Basically a pay to play, and the escrow helps with safety, but don't expect much success unless you have the money to keep applying. Im sure it works differently in different niches. Also would be nice to be able to include links to published work instead of having to add screenshots. Pass on this one if you need an income fast.
