The watch face will be transferred after a short while: Verify the watch faces on the Wearable app.
Don't worry if you find yourself in a payment loop; even if you are prompted to pay twice, there will only be one fee. Restart your watch or wait five minutes before trying again.
A synchronization issue between your device and Google servers may be the blame.
