Matir Pran is a smart portable soil testing device for farmers. Using this device farmers can
test their soil in the field also a mobile application is incorporated in the smart device, which
helps the farmer to plant crops based on the testing parameters.
The growth, quality, and the number of crops and other agricultural products are mostly
dependent on the soil condition and other related parameters. Most of the farmers are live in
rural areas. In this modern world, many technologies come in the Agriculture sector but lack
of technology, communication, and proper training rural farmers don’t get that benefit. In our
field research we find out our most of the farmers don’t know about soil testing necessity and
other things is in this country we do have not enough soil testing lab. For this reason, they
follow the traditional way of farming, they don’t know how can take care of field soil so they
lose their productivity because good soil is the main part of Agriculture. So, we make a smart
portable soil testing device for farmers.
At present, a farmer has to take 25-30 days to complete the soil testing process and the cost is
500-600 TK. He also has to visit the lab at least 5 times. From the survey, we can understand
that the farmer will be interested in this soil test only if the use of technology is easily
accessible to the farmer. Our main focus is to reduce soil testing time and we make a system
for rural area farmers and agriculture experts where both are on one platform. Farmers can
get any type of support using this platform.
Farmers can test their field soil using our sensor-based device and then within a few minutes,
they will get results using Bluetooth sensor data that will go to the mobile app. Based on the
data apps will suggest to the farmers- which types of crops they can plant in this field, it can
also suggest to the farmers how much fertilizer they should give their field. We have so many
features like farmer's health, where farmers can get primary treatment information if they face
any accident in their field.

detect your soil condition, pests, and diseases on crops within a few seconds. Matir Pran Is a
complete solution for crop production and soil management.
The Matir Pran app covers Bangladesh's major 458 varieties of 116 crops all information and
detects plant damage, detection, pest and disease control, and yield improvement for farmers.
“মাটির প্রান” এই প্রোজেক্টটি হচ্ছে কৃষি বান্ধব ডিজিটাল পোর্টেবল সয়েল টেস্টিং ডিভাইস, বেশ কিছু
সেন্সরের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত যার সাথে একটি মোবাইল অ্যাপ্লিকেশন আছে। কৃষক তার ফসলের মাঠে বসেই
মাটি পরীক্ষা করে ফসলের মাঠের অবস্থা সম্পর্কে জানতে পারবেন আমাদের এই অ্যাপ্লিকেশনের
মাধ্যমে। মোবাইল অ্যাপ্লিকেশনটি সম্পূর্ণ বাংলায় তৈরি করা ফলে একজন কৃষক খুব সহজেই এটি
ব্যাবহার করতে পারবেন। অ্যাপ ইনপুটকৃত তথ্য গুলোকে বিশ্লেষণ করে মাটির বর্তমান অবস্থা, পুষ্টি
উপাদান, কি পরিমাণ সার দিতে হবে এবং ঐ মাটিতে কি ফসল ভাল হবে তা বলে দিবে। কৃষকরা যাতে তাদের
অঞ্চলের কৃষি কর্মকর্তাদের সাথে যোগাযোগ এবং তার সমস্যাগুলো দ্রুত পৌঁছাতে পারেন সেই ব্যাবস্থা

ও আছে। কৃষি কর্মকর্তা ও আমাদের এই অ্যাপ্লিকেশনের মাধ্যমে তার অঞ্চলের রেজিস্টার্ড কৃষকদের
ফসলের অবস্থা, কি কি চাসবাদ হচ্ছে সব তথ্য পাবেন এবং কৃষকদের দ্রুত তথ্য সরবরাহ করতে পারবেন।
