I originally built VL for myself and my family. Now it is available to everyone.
VL is a minimal Android launcher built to keep the home screen clear, the app drawer usable, the settings understandable, and the overall experience quiet. No ads. No tracking. No profiling. No built-in surveillance.
Get away from bloated features, manipulative design, unnecessary permissions, dark patterns, fake urgency, inflated subscriptions, and data collection disguised as “experience improvement”. VL goes in the opposite direction.
What VL offers

• Two styles: Minimal and Classic
• Minimal mode for a cleaner, lighter layout
• Classic mode for a more icon-based home screen and grid app drawer

• Gesture shortcuts
• Light, dark, or system theme
• Custom highlight color

VL may be a good fit if you want:
• A cleaner Android home screen
• A launcher that stays fast and clear
• Strong privacy principles
• Customization without bloat
VL may not be for you if you want:
• Heavy widget-driven setups
• Endless animations and feature overload
• A launcher that tries to do absolutely everything
• Ads in the middle of your drawer or on your home screen
• Predatory subscriptions
VL is built around a simple idea: your launcher should serve you, not exploit you.
