Designed to make the reflection and feedback cycle process more efficient by integrating Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and mobile technologies, CourseMIRROR prompts and scaffolds students to write concise and insightful reflections on their learning experiences by using their mobile devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets). It uses NLP algorithms to generate coherent summaries of reflections for each lecture by clustering them based on the common themes. Available to both instructors and students, these summaries allow users to identify, characterize, and attend to the difficulties and misunderstandings that their students (or peers) encountered from the lecture.
