Altimeter is a tool to measure the height of a point above sea level. Usually this tool is used for navigation purposes in flight, climbing, and activities related to altitude.
Altimeters work on several principles:
- Air pressure (most commonly used)
- Earth magnet (with inclination angle)
- Waves (ultra sonic or infrared, and others).
Barometer is an instrument used to measure air pressure. Barometers are commonly used in weather forecasts, where high barometric pressure indicates "friendly" weather, while low air pressure indicates the possibility of a storm.
A compass or padom is a navigation tool for determining the cardinal directions in the form of a magnetic arrow pointer that is free to align itself accurately with the earth's magnetic field.
The reference compass gives a certain direction, so it is very helpful in the field of navigation. The cardinal directions it points to are north, south, east, and west.
Some of the features available include:
- Altitude
- Barometer
- Compass
- Temperature
- Latitude
- Longitude
- Easy and simple display
The application uses smartphone, GPS and internet sensors to display data.
