The first ten floors are free, first boss included, and you can replay them as often as you like. One Full Game purchase unlocks the rest, with three cosmetic styles thrown in. There are no ads and no subscriptions.
Gold Below is a pixel-art loot roguelike you play in portrait. Each run starts with junk gear and a little gold. You buy pieces, merge two of the same into a rarer one, and stack one set until the numbers get silly. Then something twenty floors down hits harder than you planned for.
HOW A FIGHT WORKS
Every enemy shows what it will do on its next turn. Between turns you can shop, swap gear and merge. Then you ATTACK, GUARD or cast your hero's skill. When attacking would get you killed and guarding wouldn't, GUARD lights up gold. Auto can play the easy turns for you, and it hands control back when things get dangerous.
LOOT
22 gear sets, each with bonuses at 2, 3 and 5 pieces, and 20 combos between pairs of sets. 7 rarities, from Common up to Gilded. Etchings you can move from one piece to another.
THE DRAGON'S HOARD
Every player who dies leaves their gold to the dragon at the bottom, in one pile that grows on everyone's title screen. Once a month, the first player to win a Season Descent takes all of it.
WHAT'S FREE AND WHAT ISN'T
Free: the Gilt Cellars, floors 1 to 10, and the Tallyman. The Full Game adds the Drowned Reliquary and the Hoard Heart, Mother Brine and Grimgilt, floors 11 to 30, endless mode, Pip and Ilse, the Greed ladder, the Daily Descent and the Season Descent, plus the Gilded, Amethyst and Frostsilver styles. Purchases go through Google Play; use Restore purchases with the Google Account you bought with.
Six heroes, each with their own skill and passive. Runs save as you play. The game works offline; the Dragon's Hoard, Season Descents, buying and restoring need a connection. You don't need an account, and there's no energy or paid currency.
