The SHGs Data Portal is a digital platform developed by Aatapi Seva Foundation under the Women Smallholder Farmers Project (Since 2017) to strengthen SHGs, Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), and Block Level Federations (BLFs) with the support of PI Foundation. It supports women smallholders engaged in agriculture, livestock, and rural based micro-enterprises by enabling data-driven planning, monitoring, and decision-making.

Over the 7 years, interventions were designed around four key areas — Agriculture, Livestock, SHG/Federation Promotion, and micro-enterprises — addressing challenges like limited access to technology, weak market linkages, poor livestock management, and low financial literacy. The project built community capacity, strengthened local institutions, and empowered women to adopt improved agricultural and dairy management practices, enhancing their income and resilience.

The SHG Data Portal brings together the learnings and systems developed during these phases into one integrated digital solution. The app allows users to seamlessly capture, access, and analyze SHG-level data to promote transparency, accountability, and informed decision-making.

Centralized Data Management: Digitized profiles of SHGs, federations, and enterprises for easy access and monitoring.

Women Empowerment Focus: Strengthens the institutional framework for SHGs, CLFs, and BLFs to lead sustainable change.
Enterprise Tracking: Record and monitor income-generating activities such as dairy, tailoring, masala units, khakhra production, and agro centers etc.

Agriculture & Livestock Monitoring: Track adoption of improved farming and dairy practices for better productivity.

Credit & Market Linkages: Facilitate connections with banks, cooperatives, and markets for financial inclusion and growth.

Knowledge Sharing Platform: Encourage collaboration and learning among women’s groups through a strong information-sharing system.

Decision Support Tools: Generate reports and analytics to support program planning and performance tracking.

Impact:

The portal contributes to strengthening women’s collectives and federations, improving financial and market literacy, and promoting sustainable livelihood practices. It is a step forward in creating a self-reliant ecosystem for women smallholders where digital tools support collective decision-making and economic empowerment.

By integrating technology into the grassroots network, the SHG Data Portal ensures that every woman smallholder’s effort is visible, valued, and connected — fostering inclusive growth, transparency, and sustainability at scale.
