String figures, made easier. Made more fun.

This app is a hands-free String Figure (Cat's cradle) guide you can control entirely with your voice.
When making string figures, both hands are tied up with the string, making it frustrating to turn pages in a book or pause a video.
This app solves that problem with voice control.

■ Hands-free voice control
Use simple voice commands like “next,” “previous,” or “replay.”
There’s no need to let go of the string while you play.
No more desperately turning pages with your toes or tapping the YouTube pause button with your little finger.

■ A New, Language-Free Way to Learn
Text-based instructions have been removed from the tutorial videos and replaced with visual guidance using lines, arrows, and hand movements.
By removing reliance on language, this approach makes it possible for children who cannot read complex characters, as well as people of all ages and languages around the world, to enjoy string figures intuitively.

■ Over 100 string figures from around the world
Not only the string figures traditionally passed down in your own country,
but more than 100 string figures from Oceania, the Americas, Africa, Alaska, Japan, and many other regions around the world are included.

String figures are not a game belonging to just one country.
They are a shared human tradition, passed down across cultures with different names and motifs.

■ One string, anytime, anywhere
All you need is a single string to play—no special place or time required.
The process of creating shapes step by step also has the satisfying, puzzle-like appeal of a thoughtful and intellectual game.

For children and adults alike,
whether playing alone or together with others,
we invite you to explore the deep and fascinating world of string figures.
