iNet® Now Sync is Industrial Scientific’s mobile app for live worker monitoring. It securely relays gas detector readings, alarms, and location updates to the iNet® Cloud so supervisors can respond quickly to hazardous situations.
Supervisors can receive configured alerts (including panic, man-down, and gas alarms) and gain visibility of worker activity to improve safety performance across people, equipment, and gas hazards.
How iNet® Now Sync Works
The app connects compatible Industrial Scientific gas detectors to the iNet® Cloud through the worker’s Android device.
When a worker signs in and starts monitoring, the app maintains an active connection so detector data can be transmitted in near real time. During active monitoring, the app may continue running in the background and shows an ongoing notification so the worker knows live monitoring is active.
Workers use two main tabs:
Status tab: Shows connection health between detector, phone, and iNet® Cloud.
Activity tab: Shows generated alarms and alert events (panic, man-down, gas alarms).
Connectivity and Location
Bluetooth is used for detector-to-phone communication (recommended range: within 30 feet / 10 meters).
Wi‑Fi or cellular is used for phone-to-cloud communication.
Location data from the phone is sent with detector data to support live monitoring context.
Please note: continuous Bluetooth, network, and GPS use can increase battery consumption.
Important Requirement
To sign in to iNet® Now Sync, your organization must have an active iNet® Now subscription and provide your login credentials.
