Alhamdulillah, we launched the Sadaqah Made Easy - SME website in 2021 to source fundraising enthusiasts in one platform to make a durable bridge with donors surfing around the web to find authentic charitable projects to donate. We enlist authentic projects and volunteer fundraisers from city to village to help them get donations from donors globally. We generally help those who need a web presence but don't have the opportunity to get donations from global donors community
The problem we identified is whenever social media like Facebook servers go down, up-and-running donation projects start scrambling to raise funds for the victims. Sometimes, due to internal chaos in a certain country, Facebook server may shut down. In such a situation, Sadaqah Made Easy - SME would be of great benefit to the charities or, any kind of donation projects.
There are a lot more platforms for fundraising like Gofundme and Launchgood. What we are trying is different here i.e., creating one single platform for non-profit organizations, charitable organizations, and Islamic institutes like Madrasas which needs the maximum exposure to the donor communities around the world so that an effective bridge can be incorporated between both sides.
In short, potential donors tend to have the intention to donate to the region with the highest poverty rate. Non-profit and charitable organizations in this region don’t have enough opportunities to enter the web and app landscape and reach out to donors. We are making the bridge between them. Currently, we have 20+ organizations enlisted in our platform and 160+ subscribers are interested to actively informed about the projects.
However, SME have been involved in projects dedicated to persons with disabilities also. Having mentioned that, it's important to add that we are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG by UN) that explicitly includes disability and persons with disabilities. From this perspective, we believe that we have to effectively support persons with disabilities so that equal opportunities and the corresponding respect can be ensured for them. Not having strong and continuous support for them can negatively impact our society, in the long run.
