SeeBuilds shows you what has already been built around you, what it cost, and who did the work. It runs on the states' public planning registers and on projects that builders publish themselves, so almost everything you read here has a source the page can point at.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Check what your block can take. Type a street address and read one page: the zone, the controls that apply to that parcel, what the rules allow, and how long the council takes on the fast track and on a full assessment. You do not need an account to look.
See what has just been lodged nearby. Applications on your street and in your suburb, straight from the state planning registers, each with the cost the applicant declared to council. A declared cost is not a contract price, and every page that shows one says so.
Look at finished projects. Photographs of completed work. Where the builder published what it cost, the page shows the cost and names who published it. Where nobody published a number, the page says that instead. We do not estimate.
Find the people behind a project. A project page names the people who worked on it, as far as that is on the public record, and you can send them a message from the page and ask your own questions.
Check a quote against the public record. Put in the figure you have been quoted and see the costs declared for comparable work near you, with the official definition of what those numbers do and do not include.
Read it in your language. English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, Tiếng Việt, العربية and 한국어 — the whole site, not only the menus.
IF YOU BUILD FOR A LIVING
Post a finished project from your phone. Pick a few photos from your library or take them standing on the site, add the suburb and the type of work, and the project has a page with your name on it. A homeowner reading that page can message you from it.

It does not rate, rank or recommend anyone. It does not promise you a price, an approval or an outcome. It does not invent a cost that nobody published.
Planning information comes from the states' public registers under their open licences. It is a record of what was lodged and decided, not planning advice — check anything that matters to you with your council or a qualified consultant.
