Monitor supported devices and values across your VRM installation in one custom dashboard.
V-Monitor gives caravan, camper, 4x4, boat and off-grid users a clear view of their installation from an Android device. It turns available VRM data into readable gauges, value panels, charts and live status information.
MONITOR YOUR SYSTEM
Depending on your connected equipment, V-Monitor can display:
• Battery state of charge
• Battery voltage, charge/discharge current and power
• Solar production, PV input and yield
• Charger and DC-DC charger information
• Inverter and system information
• Tank levels and temperatures
• GPS and location data
• Historical charts
• Alarms and connection status
• Other values exposed by your installation
CUSTOM DASHBOARDS
Build a dashboard around the information that matters to you:
• Add gauges or large value panels
• Organise panels into named sections
• Choose from multiple gauge designs
• Customise labels, units, colours and ranges
• Configure warning thresholds and alerts
• Show supported historical charts
• Choose one-column or two-column layouts
• View live connection and data status
AUTOMATIC SYSTEM DISCOVERY
Connect using your Victron VRM email address and an access token. V-Monitor identifies your account, retrieves the installations available to it and lets you select one by its friendly name.
System Discovery scans the selected installation for available devices and live values. Search or filter the results, preview supported history and add useful readings to your dashboard without manually finding MQTT topics or guessing data paths.
If your account has several installations, V-Monitor presents them so you can choose which one to monitor.
VRM, API AND MQTT SUPPORT
V-Monitor uses supported VRM/API and compatible hosted MQTT data for current readings and available history. Data availability depends on your hardware, GX device, installation configuration, account permissions and the services exposed by the selected installation.
V-Monitor is read-only. It does not publish commands to Victron MQTT write topics or control chargers, batteries, inverters, relays or other electrical equipment.
WHAT YOU NEED
• An existing Victron VRM account
• Access to at least one VRM installation
• Your VRM email address
• A VRM access token
You do not need your normal VRM password, User ID, Site ID, Portal ID or MQTT host.
HOW TO CREATE A VRM ACCESS TOKEN
1. Sign in at https://vrm.victronenergy.com/login
2. Return to the main VRM menu if you are inside an installation
3. Open Preferences > Integrations > Access tokens
4. Choose Create access token
5. Give it a recognisable name, such as V-Monitor
6. Copy the token when VRM displays it and keep it private
Enter your VRM email address and access token in V-Monitor, then tap Test connection. The app identifies the account automatically. If several installations are available, select the one you want to monitor.
FREE AND OPTIONAL UPGRADE
The free version supports up to two dashboard gauges for each detected device. An optional one-time Google Play purchase unlocks unlimited dashboard gauges.
PERMISSIONS
• Internet access connects to the Victron VRM API and compatible hosted MQTT services
• Network and Wi-Fi status helps show connection availability and manage data refreshes
• Location supports optional local weather, rain radar and map information
• Google Play Billing supports the optional one-time dashboard gauge upgrade
Location is not required for basic VRM system monitoring.
A compatible VRM installation and internet connection are required. Live values, update frequency and chart history depend on connected hardware and data made available by Victron services.
V-Monitor is an independent third-party app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially connected with Victron Energy.
