Open the app, hit roll. That is the whole flow.
OnlyDice is for people who lost the dice, not for people who wanted another app to configure. There is no sign-up and nothing standing between you and the first roll.
● Six die types: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 and d20. Pick one, pick how many (up to ten), roll.
● The dice are real 3D solids. They tumble, wobble and settle on the face they actually rolled, with the numeral the right way up. Every die draws a fresh spin each time, so two dice in the same throw never look cloned.
● Numbering follows real dice: opposite faces add up to one more than the number of sides. The d6 has pips. The d4 prints its numbers in the corners, the way a four-sided die does.
● Every roll lands in the session log with its total, so you can scroll back through the whole game and see what happened three turns ago.
● Sessions are saved on your device and named by date. Rename one to "Tuesday campaign" or "Friday game night", reopen it a week later, and it comes back with the die type and dice count you were last using.
● Shake to roll, with three sensitivity settings. A tablet gets shaken far more gently than a phone, so one fixed threshold would have suited neither. Off by default.
● Keep the screen awake while you play, so it stops dimming in the middle of someone's turn.
Privacy
No accounts and no ads. There is no analytics or crash-reporting SDK anywhere in the app, and the release build does not even request internet access, so your roll history is written to your own device and has nowhere else to go. The one permission in the manifest lets the accelerometer sample fast enough to notice a shake.
Built to get out of the way
Works fully offline. The roll button sits at the bottom in the thumb zone and is always tappable, on a phone in portrait or a tablet in landscape. Turn your system font size up and the layout hands space back to the text instead of pushing the roll button off the screen.
Nothing in the app is paywalled, and there is no in-app purchase.
