GeoCro is a mobile app by Croatian geological survey intended for anyone interested in the geology of the Republic of Croatia, whether they are professional geologists, amateurs, mountaineers, naturalists, etc.
With the GeoCro application you can explore the local geology, get basic information about the rocks and geological structures present on the surface.
The application contains an interactive geological map of the Republic of Croatia at a scale of 1: 300 000 with a description of each of the selected units.
GeoCro will locate your mobile phone (GPS enabled) and find your position on the map.
Some of the basic geological terms needed for better understanding are also explained in the application.
Specific sites of particular interest are identified and described in detail, containing rare or exceptionally well preserved geologic occurrences (rocks, fossils, structures, etc.).
