Code of Canon Law (lat. Code of Canon Law) is a systematic set of canon law of the Roman Catholic Church.
It was first issued in 1917 by Pope Benedict XV.
The new revised edition, which takes into account changes after Vatican II, came into force in 1983, Pope John Paul II.
Counterpart of the Eastern Catholic Churches, the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches.
