Plenty forests are considered particularly suitable for dealing with the challenges and consequences of climate change. The adaptation of forest ecosystems to climate changes is urgently needed in many regions of Austria and the world. This Plenterwald app is a product developed by the Institute of Silviculture, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna in collaboration with the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government and KLAR! Region-Vorderwald-Egg was developed. It is designed as an application for forest owners who want to get to know their plentiful forests better and serves as a guide. By entering a few easy-to-understand parameters, simple recommendations for action for forest owners are derived.
