About this app
This free application offers official information and news from Neuchâtel public and parapublic authorities. It is mainly aimed at Neuchâtel residents, tourists and people interested in current events in the canton and municipalities. It allows you to obtain information simply, quickly and effectively on themes such as politics, culture, sports, mobility, security, training or local life. It also makes it possible to broadcast alerts in the event of a health or security risk.
NEWS MANAGEMENT You can compose your news feed yourself by selecting the information sources you want (canton, municipalities, etc.) and the desired themes from the following list: culture, training, events, mobility, politics, security, society, sports, practical life. By default, all sources (“issuers” and all themes are activated. It is possible to deactivate them at any time. Unwanted transmitters and themes will then no longer appear in the news feed. You can also designate your most popular news, consult the most read publications and create your list of favorite news. Information published on NEMO News can be shared on the main social networks.
NOTIFICATIONS By authorizing “push” notifications, you will regularly receive notifications to inform you of the publication of news on your feed. By default, notifications are enabled. It is possible to deactivate them at any time for certain transmitters and themes, whose publications will still appear in the news feed, but without being the subject of a “push”.
ALERTS Priority alerts can be broadcast to the entire population via NEMO News. In this case, it is impossible to deactivate the notifications linked to these alerts, which will be sent to all people who have downloaded the application and who have accepted, when using NEMO News for the first time, to receive notifications.
PUBLISHER The NEMO News application (NEMO for Neuchâtel Mobile, the name of the free Wi-Fi available in Neuchâtel) was developed by the State of Neuchâtel (Switzerland) and the City of Neuchâtel, in collaboration with the company Arcantel SA.
