Too much heat and your once glorious boulder will melt down into a stream of oozing liquid goo. Be sure to avoid lava pockets and chasms.
Volcano living sure is a treat. Every villain needs a subsurface lair and waterfalls of orange magma work well to illuminate the cavern for some well spaced Feng Shei as nature continually morphs the volcano living area based on tectonic movements and spasms.
Boulder slips aside I'd recommend subterranean volcanic living any day of the week !
