About this game

Created to enable players to use their preferred controls on Android, SpecialEffect's Sudoku is designed to be played with one of the following input methods: touch, a mouse cursor, switch access, a game controller or a keyboard. The app opens in landscape mode only.

The aim of Sudoku is to complete the grid by filling in blank spaces with numbers 1-9, following special rules!

The grid contains 9 regions, each containing 9 squares. Each number must not appear more than once in any region, row or column.

In the gameplay settings, you can choose between ‘Precise’ or ‘Classic’ control modes. In Precise mode, you directly select the blank square that you want to place a number into before selecting the number from the options on the right. With Classic mode, you first select the block of 9 cells that the square is within and then the square itself within the magnified block on the right of the screen, before then selecting the number you want to place.

SUPPORTED CONTROL METHODS AND INPUTS:

TOUCH - A single tap on the onscreen targets activates them. No swiping or holds are required.

MOUSE CURSOR - Using a single left click on the onscreen targets activates them. No drags or holds are required. The Auto-Click option in Android is also compatible with the game.

SWITCH ACCESS -To scan through the onscreen targets using a switch, the use of the Google Switch Access app and a compatible switch interface or device is required.

KEYBOARD - The Arrow keys navigate and highlight the onscreen targets and the Enter key is used to select one, when highlighted.

GAME CONTROLLER - Using an Android compatible controller, the Left Stick, Right Stick or D-Pad is used to navigate the onscreen targets. Any of the face buttons or triggers on your compatible controller can be used to select an one, when highlighted.

- The Gameplay settings screen has been cleaned up so the offset does not agree.
- the Number Appearances, after testing, show up correctly in grey, as a check has been put in place and the board is reset.
