How well trained is your nose for news?
BOCCALONE! is a quiz in Italian that mixes real news, fake news, and misleading content. For each headline, choose TRUE or FAKE, without immediately knowing if you answered correctly: the verdict comes at the end of the game.
At the end, you'll discover:
your percentage of digital gullibility;
your level, from cautious reader to certified gullible;
how many answers you got right;
how many fake news stories you believed to be true;
the explanation for each answer;
the sources available for further information.
You can review the game question by question, share your results, and create a personalized PDF certificate with your name. Your name is only used to generate the document and is not saved in the database.
BOCCALONE! uses a tongue-in-cheek tone, but the goal is serious: to train your attention when faced with surprising headlines, viral chains, hoaxes, and half-truths.
Questions can concern technology, society, science, the environment, economics, health, culture, and current affairs. The explanations help understand which details make a story credible or suspicious.
