About this app

Coptic Reader is a mobile application that contains the liturgical texts, rites, psalmodies, hymns, melodies, services, and sacraments of the Coptic Orthodox Church. It is not simply a static reader; it dynamically assembles each service according to the rites of the current day or any selected feast or date. Each document is generated on the fly with the appropriate hymns, rubrics, and instructions, removing uncertainty in the order of services.

Coptic Reader supports English, Arabic, and Coptic, and allows flexible combinations of languages within the same document. The interface is available in both English and Arabic. The application is highly customizable, enabling you to show or hide liturgical roles (Priest, Deacon, Congregation), inaudible prayers, rubrics, and language layers according to your needs.

The application has been rebuilt from the ground up using modern technology, enabling improved performance, maintainability, and future expansion. In addition to mobile platforms, Coptic Reader is now available on Windows, Mac OS, and the web at copticreader.org.

A presentation mode allows projection of content for use in church services. Additional customization options include themes, text scaling, and control over commemorations for saints and archangels in doxologies, hymns, responses, and prayers.

Navigation throughout the app is calendar-aware, allowing seamless movement between readings, commemorations, and service documents while maintaining context.

This app is absolutely perfect and it is the one I use most frequently. The effort put into it is highly appreciated. I have two minor suggestions to make it even better: Hiteniat Option: It would be great to have more comprehensive options or a dedicated section for the Hiteniat. Saints List: I noticed some saints are still missing from the lists; adding more of them would be a fantastic update. Overall, it is a brilliant app. Thank you for your hard work!

I love this app so much but I only have one concern which is needed to add Arabic coptic language maybe there is no room for extra language maybe they can create another virgin with Arabic Coptic language. that will be awesome. thanks 🙏.

With this latest update correcting lots of errors across the board, I don't see it as a reliable source. Is the Bible accurate? And why there is no search function in the Bible? Monday 9th hour of the Pascha; Genesis 3:19 is missing, Bible reading is innacurate. Pasting an image is not allowed on Google Play.
