Hamburg's churches invite you to a joint cultural festival every September. At the Night of the Churches Hamburg, you can experience the church as an event location with concerts, shows, theater, readings, spiritual and political events. Far from the worship service, but always a place of encounter at the heart of our society.
Organizer: Evangelical Lutheran Church District Association of Hamburg in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Hamburg and the Association of Christian Churches in Hamburg (ACKH).
Hamburg's Night of the Churches
• is one of the city's largest cultural events
• expects 50,000 visitors
• offers more than 400 hours of programming in more than 90 churches
• is supported by numerous volunteers in the congregations
• particularly appeals to searching and critical people
• presents the churches as inviting, appealing, and open
