Arwi, also known as ArabuTamil, is an extended Arabic script that has been used by Tamil-speaking Muslims for several centuries to write the Tamil language.
Today, Arwi is considered an extinct language tradition. To preserve and bring Arwi into the digital era, the Arwi Keyboard app for Android devices has been developed and launched as part of the Arwi Archive project.
This app has been launched by the Kayalpattinam Historical Research Centre.
