About this app

Designed by musicians for musicians, the app’s beautiful, minimal and intuitive interface allows you to tune almost any string instrument on the go and stay up to date with the latest Roadie upgrades. Explore a wide variety of alternate tunings, create your own custom tunings and consistently get the best sound out of your instrument.

With the free tuner you can:

- Tune any string instrument on the go including guitar, ukulele, mandolin and banjo.
- Choose from a multitude of tunings: standard, open G, open D, Drop D, half step down, D modal and much more.
- Access a high performance chromatic tuner.
- You can even create and save your own custom tunings!

It’s fast, accurate and easy to use: simply pluck the string on your instrument, the app will listen directly from your device’s microphone and guide you visually until you reach the perfect pitch.

It is also the perfect companion for all Roadie Tuners:

It serves as a control center for your tuning experience when using any of the Roadie Tuner products (the original Roadie Tuner, Roadie 2, Roadie Bass and Roadie 3). Through the app, you will also receive the latest firmware updates and feature improvements for your Roadie Tuner device.

Create and store a profile for each of your instruments (electric, acoustic, classical, 7 and 12-string guitars, ukuleles, bass, mandolins, banjos, etc.)
Refine your advanced tuning settings: set Roadie to “Tune up” mode, change the reference pitch, tune with a capo and modify the desired frequency to the cent.
Access music news, our latest updates, and tips on how to improve your playing.
Create custom instruments such as a dulcimer or a santour or anything else with geared pegs.
Turn off and on Roadie’s beep and vibration function depending on your needs.

Roadie Tuner makes tuning a breeze. Download the app so you can immediately get to playing.

Come back to music after long-term illness, only to find much of my gear (including my original Roadie!) 'bricked' by app's and software. No desire to pay to 'upgrade' a costly device that would otherwise still work. Don't care about updates.. just want it to work as it did. Gone back to my cheap £8 (and 15 year old) tuner that still works perfectly after a simple battery change. Had no desire to speak badly of this brand/device.. but this is just greedy and wasteful.

We understand your frustration and we’re sorry for the experience. Roadie 1 is now over 12 years old, and we recently had to deprecate it due to major changes in phone operating systems. However, all our other products are fully supported, so if you have another Roadie device, please reach out to support@roadiemusic.com, we’d be happy to help.

It never works properly. constantly asking me to put it on the right string, it is, often de-tunes my guitar, errors pop up non stop, I change the noise settings and remove noise from room, I tried a bunch of things. It used to work so so at the beginning but now... It's useless and when I try to correct my tuning manually, the program doesn't offer notes for us to hear and tune so we have to go through other means. If this doesn't get fixed, it is a useless product. :S + why location needed?

Hello Steve, Thank you for your honest feedback. Can you send us an email to support@bandindustries.com so we can investigate and get everything related to Roadie 3 sorted out. As for location we do not read or save the location instead this is an Android requirement that we ask for location permission to be able to use Bluetooth low energy.

Total rubbish. It won't hold the Bluetooth long enough to sync and you have to switch it on and off a dozen times to get it to link. There are no proper instructions. The tunings you make on the app will transfer to the roadie 2, but will not work - all you get is the error buzz telling you it is out of range. Very very frustrating and disappointing. If you're downloading this app then you have either wasted your money on the main product or you are considering doing so.
