Cute, but there are major problems/inconsistencies with syncing your steps (the only function of this app). Mine worked well for 3 days and then as soon as the free trial ended I went for a long run and it only counted 19 steps today. The distance and steps were logged correctly in all my other apps that track fitness stats and StepPals still has full access to my health data. No idea why it quit working after 3 days. Very limited functionality in this app to be charging $30/year, too.

The concept is fun, but the step sync is very inconsistent (this app and my other step app are off by anywhere from 500 to 1k steps) I tried a bunch of things over the last few weeks I've been using the app (such as updating the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, etc. ) and it's still being buggy. Considering you have to pay for the app upfront it's not worth the hassle.

Love the idea but my steps aren't syncing even with everything setup properly. My Gramin had over 12k steps and it showed 8k on StepPals. I really want it to work because it is motivating but if it doesn't work better soon I'll uninstall. Update: I found a fix for the steps not syncing. If you go to Health Connect > Manage Data > Data Source and Priority > App Sources. Ensure that your watch or step counter is in the #1 position and StepPals is in #2 position. It's now tracking correctly.
