Like all tynamids, it has limited ability to fly due to the small span of its wings, but it is a very skittish bird. From the Tupi comes the popular name “Inhambú: from what lifts the flight rumbled”, due to the behavior of taking off only as a last resort in an approach.
The inhambu-chororó was immortalized in the composition of Athos Campo and Serrinha, in the voices of Tonico and Tinoco. Giving inspiration and origin to the name of the duo Chitãozinho and Xororó.
