Remote control for your Big Green Egg!
Remotely manage and monitor cooking temperatures, monitor the temperature of your food, view graphs of your cooks and receive alerts when your cook is finished or when the EGG temperature is too high or low.

The EGG Genius app works with an EGG Genius WiFi Temperature Controller to:
• Control the device through your smartphone, tablet or computer to remotely manage and monitor the internal temperature of the EGG
• Monitor the temperature of your food; view graphs of your cooks
• Receive alerts when your cook is finished or when the EGG temperature is too high or low
• Quickly reach your desired cooking temperature as the blower ramps up to fan the lighted charcoal; once the desired temp is reached, the variable speed blower automatically adjusts the blower speed to optimize the set temperature.
• Automatically lowers the pit temperature to keep your food warm when the cook is complete.
• Detects the sudden temperature drop from opening the dome and turns the fan off temporarily to avoid over-stoking the fire.
• In the case of a power outage, the unit continues running at the saved set temperature and reconnects to the WiFi network automatically when power returns.
• Use up to 3 meat probes at once – additional meat probes with Y-cable can be purchased separately.

When it works, it is great - But when you need it, it is not always there for you! The Egg Genius is a great tool, the biggest FLAW is that, if the network is not avalible - YOU CAN NOT USE IT! It MUST be Connected to Flame Boss network. Holidays are always a time when it is handy. With all the cooking/socializing it is nice to have. These are the times where I have the worst connection issues. Hours of Unavalible Msgs. The App needs a Bluetooth/Direct Connection Mode.

Issues connecting/registering... I have full wifi reception, but no cell service. Adding and registering this device in "cloud" mode is not possible for me, as it seems to want internet connection despite I'm being connected to the device's AP. Switching wifi just clears the progress. Will keep trying and using the reset button when it gets stuck on something. In addition the app wants one more digit for serial number than my device has, I simple added a space after in order to move forward

Poorly designed app. Difficulty connecting locally, completely unable to connect with the network, and disconnected frequently during last few attempted uses. The temperature control is also terrible. Had to set the pit temp almost 40 degrees higher than the temperature registering on the Egg's mounted thermometer. And the meat probe registered drastically higher. The connections were checked multiple times take sure no user error. Reset 3 times without improvement in performance.
